How do I configure my editor for XeLaTeX?
To take full advantage of the class, you should compile your manuscript using XeLaTeX.
Most modern LaTeX editors default to pdfLaTeX, but also offer the option to compile with XeLaTeX. For example:
- GNU Emacs:
Command | TeXing Options | Use XeTeX engine
; - TeXShop: select XeLaTeX in the pull-down menu next to the Typeset button;
- texmaker: select XeLaTeX instead of Quick Build in the pull-down menu next to the Run button;
- WinEdt (at least from version 11): select XeLaTeX in the TeX Options page of the Execution Modes dialog;
- Overleaf: in the sidebar, go to Settings and select XeLaTeX.
The documentation of your editor will explain how to set XeLaTeX as the default engine or for a specific project.
